On her globe trotting adventures C.C. Ann Chen contemplates the light. The heft of it. How it sits on the landscape. The hues it radiates. How it blinds and fades and obscures. Translating those sights into language could be a fools errand. Or it might be a means for diagnosis similar to the trays in German toilets that catch excrement before it gets flushed away.
